June Outing Report – Aberdour

The June outing was held at Aberdour Golf Club on Friday 7th June 2019.

“Aberdour Golf Club in Fife was voted the fourth best golfing experience in Scotland by the readers of Bunkered magazine. This private members golf course has breath-taking vistas looking over the River Forth across to Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat. The fantastic facilities include the Riverview Lounge (with panoramic views) and a host of other features for members, golf outings and casual visitors.”

Jim Gordon won the RHGC Quaich with a score of 76 – 10 for a net 66. Greig Mitchell finished 2nd courtesy of a better inward half with a 78-10 for a net 68.

Best Scratch score on the day was Colin Mackie with a 73.

Only 3 out of the 6 par 3’s were included as Ball nearest the hole with the winners being as follows:

7th – Duncan Rae

12th – Colin Mackie

15th – Alan Low

2’s on the day were recorded as follows:-

1st hole – Colin Mackie

7th hole – Graeme Laurie & Cameron Boath

12th hole – Cameron Boath

15th hole – Duncan Rae & Alan Low

18th hole – James McCormack

The tri-am competition was won by James McCormack, Alan Gray & Colin Mackie with a score of 55

The next outing will be held at Deer Park on Friday 5th July and is a one round afternoon competition.
